Linda advices clients on strategic patenting issues and handles all matters relating to patents, such as drafting and prosecution of patent applications, oppositions, appeals, freedom-to-operate investigations, infringement analysis, and IP strategy.

Although Linda’s technical background is within materials technology, she frequently works within a broad range of technical fields including for example metallurgy, deposition techniques, nanotechnology, electrochemistry, process technology and mechanics.

She graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, with a M.Sc. in materials technology. She also holds a Diplôme d’études supérieures universitaires from the University of Strasbourg in Patent Litigation in Europe.

Linda started within the IP field in 2001. With a background as both a patent examiner at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office and an in-house patent attorney responsible for one of the business areas of a multinational company, she has gained a thorough understanding of the considerations, opportunities and challenges faced on both sides of the fence. With this understanding, she entered private practice in 2007 and accepted a role as deputy head of the patent department of one of Sweden’s oldest IP firms. In 2012, she joined one of Europe’s largest IP firms, and in 2020, she founded Megra IPR.

She has extensive experience in oral proceedings – particulary inter partes proceedings – before the EPO. She is also an experienced lecturer and mentor.

Linda has been ranked as a recommended individual in the IAM Patent 1000, issued by Intellectual Asset Management, in the 2019 to 2023 editions.

Linda is a member of the Institute of Professional Represenatives before the European Patent Office (EPI), The Swedish Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (SFIR), and the Association of IP Professionals in Swedish Industry (SIPF).
